On Arrival
ARRIVALS
Every character entering the game does so in a similar way. It is not compulsory to play out an arrival log, but all players should bear in mind the following:
- All characters awaken to find themselves, unaccountably, on the front steps of Aungier House in the middle of the night, dressed for their part and in a profound state of confusion. They will be unsure of who they are, where they are and what they are doing, though something will tell them that they are in the right place.
- They will be welcomed into the house by whatever manner you deem suitable; a new scullery maid may be greeted by a fellow domestic servant and taken through to the service wing, while a visiting cousin may be met by a family or even Lord and Lady Valdemar themselves. Whatever the case may be, the person meeting them will appear to have been expecting your character and will treat them as such.
- As they are introduced to Aungier House, they will find that things begin to fall into place and they will start to 'remember' their AU histories and what they are doing at the mansion. Once they have fully remembered their false life, these memories will seem absolute for the next couple of days.
- Depending on their AU history, they may find that they have with them a suitcase (or five, if they are wealthy) full of items that seem to belong to them- or, rather, to the person they now believe themselves to be. Unless you have been given mod clearance, your character will not have any of their canon belongings with them.
- We highly encourage players to personalise arrivals and make them as appropriate to the character in question as possible!
If you have any questions, go ahead and contact a mod and we'll get back to you.
