Assuming you'll be apping in for our first cycle, the arrival information will not actually apply- due to the large volume of people who would be turning up at once, this time around each character will wake up as though they have already been part of the household for however long each player chooses. So yes, go ahead!

For future reference, though, characters arriving after the first cycle are fine to have it in their false memories that they have been part of the household for a long time; they will just assume that they have been away for whatever reason and are now returning to the estate.
